DESCRIPTION

This apparatus provides a means of predicting the durability of rock to weakening and disintegration
when subjected to the simulated effects of climatic slaking. The apparatus consist of a motorized
drive unit which is mounted on a base plate and which can rotate two or four drum at the
same time with a 20 r.p.m. of speed.

The drums are in Stainless Steel , manufactured from 2mm mesh ,140mm dia X 100mm long.

The tanks are filled with water to a level of 20mm below the drum axis.

Specimen specifications:40-60g each drum ,10 pieces in total
