DESCRIPTION

Automatically compacts soil samples rapidly, with the
accuracy of hand compaction. For standard compaction
test with 5.5 lb hammer at 12" drop, or modified
compaction test with 10 lb hammer at 18" drop.
Includes 4" diameter mold and round hammer, and 6"
diameter mold and pie-shaped hammer. A removable
weight allows either hammer to be used at 5.5 lb or 10 lb.
Hammer changes are made in the front of the compactor.
Drop height is automatically compensated for sample drop
during compaction. Machine will not operate with doors
open for added safety.
Automatic counter indicates the number of blows and can
be preset to stop the machine. Start and stop buttons can
control operation independently of counter control. The
circular mold base indexes automatically with each blow
to ensure uniform compaction.
